Reactor / Core Parameters

NuScale · 200 MWth · 3-batchcore age 1133 EFPD

Inventory coefficients are calibrated against four independent OpenMC depletion campaigns (FLEXBLUE, mPower, ACP100, NuScale); valid for LEU UO₂-fuelled PWR/iPWR designs with uninterrupted operation over the last ~40 days. Core age = EOC batch-average full-power days (affects Cs-137 only).

02

Core Inventory

Saturating nuclides (Xe-133, I-131) scale with power alone; Cs-137 scales with total energy produced (P × core age). The equations are verified against OpenMC at 7 independent points across the full SMR operating-power band (100–1000 MWth ≈ ≤300 MWe); max deviation 1.5% — tables live in the Source Term tab of the Benchmark page. Pick the nuclide to transfer.

03

Release Fractions

Q = A(I-131) × DR·ARF·RF·LPF2.1E+17 Bq

The step from inventory to source term is deliberately left to the user: enter fractions for your own accident scenario (e.g. NUREG-1465 / RG 1.183 PWR values; default 1.0 = full inventory). Q is the selected nuclide's inventory times the product of the four fractions.

Send to Model

Sending syncs the nuclide in the target model and writes the computed Q into its source-term field; location, meteorology and geometry stay yours. The Q field remains hand-editable in the target panel.
